Modern speech therapy equipment has been installed at the Dara Bala children’s correctional center in Kentau. The equipment was purchased as part of a project by the public association ECO Atameken, which won the Tamyr Platform 2025 accelerator organized by the EA Charity fund. The new equipment allows specialists to conduct sessions more effectively, while children with special needs now find speech learning more engaging and comfortable.
The new Govoron Pro speech therapy mirror enables sessions to be conducted in a playful and interactive format. Children repeat sounds and words, observe their articulation on the screen, and engage with training programs. According to the center’s specialists, this approach significantly increases motivation, attention, and involvement. Children who were previously hesitant to speak are now more confident and willing to participate in exercises.
Since the equipment was installed, the number of children attending speech therapy sessions has grown to 25. Each session lasts 10 minutes per day, allowing the center to support a greater number of families. In addition, the equipment makes it possible to conduct full Russian language lessons, an option that has already been used by eight children.
The team also notes that the new equipment has not only increased the effectiveness of therapy but has also improved working conditions for specialists. The organization plans to further develop its infrastructure, introduce modern methods, and expand coverage for families in need of corrective support.
Tamyr Platform 2025 concluded on October 7, with 10 finalists selected. Gulnar Niayzaova was among them. She is the founder of the Dara Bala correctional center for children with speech difficulties, and her project received support for the installation of new equipment.
